Thresholds: Solo Show

Thank you ACES Gallery for having Thresholds my solo show. The show is up until August 24th. If you can’t make it to Wilmington NC you can still check it out online here.

Thresholds lingers in the half-light, the place between what is known and what is felt. Figures, objects, and sculpted forms emerge through mist and shadow, not to reveal themselves, but to suggest something mysterious.

Trained in 19th-century classical technique, I use the discipline of realism to approach something more elusive: the moment when beauty turns contemplative, and the ordinary begins to feel divine. Through atmosphere, shadow, and the slow unfolding of light, these works trace emotional thresholds, places where certainty gives way to wonder.

Whether the subject is a human figure, a fragment of sculpture, or a still life caught in luminous stillness, each piece asks the same question: what lies just beyond what we can see?
